I am proud to announce that Finjan’s new Secure Web Gateway was officially released in February. This product release is part of our new Unified Web Security offering for the enterprise market. Finjan’s Secure Web Gateway is the first of its kind to provide enterprises with a unified Web security solution. It combines multi-layered Web security, DLP, content caching, application control, URL filtering, and Web 2.0 security on one dedicated appliance. This enables low TCO and higher ROI – crucial for enterprises and organizations alike in the current economic climate. All features are easily managed using an intuitive administrative GUI. Finjan’s Unified Secure Web Gateway comes at a time when enterprises are looking for cost-effective ways to protect their organization while securing their networks against the growing wave of cyberattacks. In its review of Finjan’s Secure Web Gateway v9.2, Channel Insider concluded that the “Web Gateway v9.2 is a comprehensive solution that would meet the security appliance expectations of any enterprise. Finjan Announces the Appointment of Dennis Wolf as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Finjan Inc., a leader in secure web gateway products, announced on January 21 the appointment of Dennis P. Wolf as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Wolf brings over 25 years of experience managing finance and operations for high-growth technology companies to Finjan. Mr. Wolf is based at the company's headquarters in San Jose, California, and reports to Finjan’s CEO Mr. John Vigouroux.

IT Security Spending Will Increase to Match Cybercrime Threat in 2009
Finjan’s Web Security survey finds that enterprises intend to dedicate a larger part of their 2009 IT security budgets to IT security. The total IT budgets for 2009 tend to be reduced compared to 2008.

Finjan’s Web Security Survey H1/2008 also shows that almost all participating organizations perceive cybercrime as a major business risk, including loss of customers, brand name damage and potential lawsuits. The majority also indicated that they see sensitive corporate information and IP to be at risk of data theft. The survey also found that the majority of the CIOs and CSOs are more concerned about data-stealing malware entering their networks than about downtime and loss of productivity due to virus infections.
